Spike Feresten is a son of Michael and Mary Jo Feresten, and grew up in Massachusetts where he went to the public schools before he enrolled at Berklee College of Music in Boston. However, he dropped out of college to pursue a career on television, managing to get a job as an intern at NBC in New York before he was promoted to receptionist.

He had his acting debut in an episode of “Saturday Night Live” in 1989, but had already been a writer for the series since 1988. Feresten eventually wrote 254 episodes of “Late Night with David Letterman” from 1990 to 1995, and even wrote an episode of “The Simpsons” in 1995 called “Sideshow Bob’s Last Gleaming”. Also in 1995, Feresten worked on “The Late Show with David Letterman: Video Special”, wrote three episodes of “Space Ghost Coast to Coast” (1995-1996), and eight episodes of the cult series “Seinfeld” from 1995 to 1998; his net worth was rising well.

In 1996, Feresten wrote three episodes of “The Dana Carvey Show”, and then took a little break from writing to concentrate more on producing and acting. His latest writing job was in 2012 when he made the TV movie “Before We Made It”. Spike has earned eight Emmy nominations throughout his career.

Feresten has also produced several notable series, including 44 episodes of “Seinfeld” from 1996 to 1998, nine episodes of “The Michael Richards Show” in 2000, 25 episodes of “The Jamie Kennedy Experiment” from 2002 to 2003, and 69 episodes of “Talkshow with Spike Feresten” from 2006 to 2009.
