Stevie Ryan was an American actress, writer, comedian, and YouTube personality. She wrote, executive produced, and starred in the VH1 series, Stevie TV. Her credits also include Sex with Brody, Online Nation, and Sex Ed. Stevie Kathleen Ryan was born on June 2, 1984, in Victorville, California. She attended Silverado High School before moving to Los Angeles at age 19.
CAREER
Ryan joined the video platform YouTube in 2006. She rose to prominence with her impersonation of celebrities like Paris Hilton, Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse and Justin Bieber. She also created original characters such as “Little Loca”. Ryan’s channel grew to 85,000+ subscribers and more than 43 million video views. In addition to YouTube, she also had a large fanbase on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Her free podcast ‘Mentally Ch(ill)’ which talks about depression was released to iTunes in 2017. It was a collaborative project with Kristen Carney.
In 2006, Ryan appeared in the short films Rhapsody, and Sell Out. She hosted the comedy reality show, Online Nation (2007). She was featured in two episodes of the series, The Heavy Show (2008). She was later cast as “Eileen” in the comedy series, Sex Ed (2009). Ryan was contacted by New Wave Entertainment in 2010. They worked together to create the sketch comedy show, Stevie TV. The show ran on VH1 from March 2012 to July 2013. It was canceled in February 2014 after two seasons. Ryan co-hosted the relationship talk show ‘Sex with Brody’ alongside Brody Jenner. She was cast as herself in the crime-thriller film, John Doe; Diary of a Serial Killer (2015).
